During my final semester at Flagler College, I took advantage of the St. Johns County Clerk of Court Internship Program. This program allows young professionals to participate in maintaining official records, collecting and distributing county funds and assisting the judiciary in court proceedings, which are all important functions of the Clerk's Office.
As a Strategic Communication Major, I naturally worked in the Communications Department. This division is fairly new at the Clerk's Office, so I had the privilege of helping kick-start the program. Likewise, I aided my supervisor and the elected Clerk of Court and Comptroller Brandon J. Patty in drafting news releases and planning initiative campaigns to inform the public on important county functions. Some of my work can be accessed to the left.
