As a Strategic Communication major, I thought it important to understand the basic principles of design, as it would come in handy in my field and make me more marketable. Therefore, I took a graphic design course my Sophomore year. Our final project in that class actually required me to use my Strategic Communication expertise because we were tasked with rebranding a popular brand to fit a new audience.
I chose the brand COVERGIRL for my project because I learned in my research that the company has been trying to break into younger generations and has not been successful. I took it upon myself to try and market to Gen Z. Below are examples of the research I conducted and the materials I created for my full creative brief. My full brief can be viewed to the left.
