From January 2022 to August 2024, I worked in the Content Center as an assignment editor at Action News Jax. My job was to manage the Internet side of the news. This included writing web articles, updating the official website, managing social media, taking caller and email tips, and collecting online content that could be used in newscasts. I also worked closely with reporters to ensure all breaking news stories are covered by our station.
As an aspiring copywriter, I enjoyed being a journalist and writing stories for the web. It allowed me to hone my skills writing many different types of stories. Also, since digital media is becoming increasingly popular in the modern age, the online content experience is very beneficial. You can view a collection of my work by following the link to the left.
